In the video below, I whizz through the instructions pretty quick, so here are the steps one by one:
1. With a transcript up in iAnnotate, I tap the Text tool and then tap in the document before typing the word "Stamp." (In the video I say, "I'll call it stamp." I misspoke there. I'm not naming the stamp at this stage; I'm creating it.)
2. At the top-right in iAnnotate, you'll now see six icons, and third from the left is the stamp (see pic below). Tap the stamp and you'll see you can give it a name. I chose "Aa stamp" because the Stamp Library displays the stamps in alphabetical order, and this new stamp will be near the top (with its "Aa" prefix). I normally just prefix with my initials, so all the stamps I make will be in the same place in the list. When you've given it a name, tap the checkmark icon to save your stamp to the Stamp Library. (In the video I say, "Hit the tick button." British English!) In the video I then delete the stamp, but don't worry – it's been added to the Stamp Library!
3. Now tap the Toolbox icon in the top right corner. This opens up the iAnnotate Toolbox. Make sure the "Annotations" tab is selected at the top of the Toolbox.
4. Tap and hold the Stamp With a Specific Image icon, and drag it into your toolbar. You must have space for it in the toolbar. If you don't, you can tap and drag out an unwanted tool.
5. As soon as your new stamp is in place in the toolbar, the Stamp Library will appear showing the last stamp that was created. In the video -- it's hard to see -- I tap the small cross in the Search field, deleting the name to make the list display all the stamps. (See pic below.)
6. At this stage, tapping on any image in the list will assign it to the new stamp in your toolbar.
7. In the video, I tap on our newly created "Stamp" annotation in the list, and it is quickly assigned to the new stamp. You then tap "Done" button at the bottom of the Stamp Library and it will disappear, leaving your new stamp in the toolbar.
